How to Buy with PayPal on Kriptomat

PayPal is a fast and convenient way to purchase cryptocurrencies on Kriptomat. This guide covers everything you need to know about using PayPal for instant cryptocurrency purchases.

Requirements

To use PayPal on Kriptomat, you need:

  • A verified PayPal account

  • A bank account or card linked to your PayPal account

Your PayPal account name must match the name associated with your Kriptomat account. Minor discrepancies in special characters are allowed.

If you have a business account on Kriptomat, you can use a PayPal business account.

Note: Third-party payments are strictly prohibited. You must use your own PayPal account that matches your verified Kriptomat identity.

Buying with PayPal involves two steps:

On Kriptomat:

  1. Click Buy & Sell in the top navigation.

  2. Make sure that the Buy tab is selected.

  3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to buy.

  4. Enter the amount you want to spend.

  5. Click on Pay with to select the payment method.

  6. Select PayPal from the list of available payment methods.

  7. Click on Preview transaction to complete the payment.

Note: Check the box to save your PayPal account for future purchases (recommended for one-click payments in the future).

On PayPal:

  1. Click the blue "PayPal" button to proceed. You will be redirected to PayPal's secure login page (a new browser tab may open if you are using the web app).

  2. Log in to your PayPal account.

  3. Review the payment details.

  4. Confirm the payment using your PayPal balance or linked payment method. You will then be automatically redirected back to Kriptomat.

Note: You do not need to complete the second step on PayPal if your account has been saved in the past.

Once the transaction has been confirmed, your assets will be credited to your account balance on Kriptomat.

Important information:

  • PayPal can only be used for instant cryptocurrency purchases, not for depositing funds to your fiat balance.

  • We do not support the withdrawal of funds to PayPal at this time.

  • You can link one PayPal account to your Kriptomat profile.

My PayPal transaction has been declined. What should I do?

The most likely reasons for your payment being declined are as follows:

  • Insufficient funds in your PayPal account or linked payment method.

  • Your PayPal account is not verified.

  • Your PayPal account name doesn't match your Kriptomat account name.

  • You've reached your daily or monthly transaction limits.

Please verify that your PayPal account has sufficient funds or a valid payment method linked. You should also ensure your PayPal account is fully verified on PayPal's website. Your name and last name must match on both platforms.

The most likely reasons you cannot see PayPal as a payment option are:

  • PayPal is not yet available in your country.

  • Your Kriptomat account hasn't completed the required verification steps.

I received a notice saying that my Kriptomat and PayPal account names are ‘mismatched’. What should I do?

Ensure both accounts are registered under the same first and last name. Minor differences in special characters (accents, hyphens, etc.) are usually acceptable.
