Last year we upgraded the Kriptomat wallet to be faster and cheaper. While we have continued to support both new and old wallet addresses, please switch to the new wallet address as soon as possible if you are still using the older wallet address.
Support for old wallet addresses will cease on 11 July 2022.
What will happen with the funds that I already have on Kriptomat?
Nothing, there is no need to worry about your existing balance at Kriptomat as this wallet address update affects only the deposit(receiving) wallet address. The funds that you already have at Kriptomat are not affected anyhow.
In what case I DO NOT need to update my wallet address or make any changes?
If you have opened your account after June 2021.
If you have generated your deposit wallet address after June 2021.
In what cases I DO NEED to update my wallet address?
If you have saved your wallet address to any other platform and are receiving regular payments to that wallet address.
If you have generated your wallet address more than one year ago, and are planning to use it in the future.
How can I know am I using the old wallet address?
The simplest way to tell if you are still using the old address is if you have generated your deposit wallet address for any currency over 12 months ago, so prior to May 2021.
How do I update my wallet address?
It is very simple. If you have your old wallet address saved somewhere or you want to make sure you are using a new wallet address, simply follow the instructions from the article below:
Once you generate your new wallet address, that is it!
You now just need to update your saved wallet address on other platforms and use a new wallet address when needed.
NOTE: Wallet address update refers to all supported cryptocurrencies that have full wallet support available.
