SEPA transfers represent a way to make payments denominated in euro to bank accounts within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) zone.

There are currently 34 countries that belong to SEPA: 28 countries that are part of the EU, and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland. 

The way SEPA transfers work is very simple: payment details are usually provided in the app (like it is done in Kriptomat, where you can also download a PDF with details) or via email. These details are then used to make payments, usually via an online banking system.

It is a safe and cheap way to make payments. It uses the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) as a standardized way to represent a bank account number.

While cryptocurrency transactions happen within a few minutes and work 24/7/365, bank transfers happen only during the bank processing times, and cross border transactions take some time. It's not in our hands to make that faster.

The SEPA transactions are usually processed within 1-3 business/working days. However, they are mostly processed within 24 hours or even on the same day.

If everything was done according to the instructions you were provided with, then your deposit will be automatically credited to your user account. As soon as the funds are available on your Kriptomat account, you will get an email and SMS notification.

As for the withdrawal of your funds, the same time frame applies, once you withdraw your funds to your verified bank account it might take 1-3 business/working days. However, they are mostly processed within 24 hours or even on the same day.

Please allow 5 business days to pass before assuming that something went wrong with your transaction. If your funds are not credited after 5 business days you may contact us anytime.
