How to make a SEPA bank deposit via the Mobile App

The money has left my bank account. Why hasn’t the deposit arrived on Kriptomat yet?

SEPA bank transfers can take up to 5 business days to be fully processed, although they are usually done in 1-2 business days. You will receive an email and an SMS notification once the funds become available on your Kriptomat balance.

Can I send a SEPA deposit from someone else’s bank account?

No, you must be the owner of the bank account from which you are sending funds. The name on the bank account must match the name of your Kriptomat account. Third-party deposits may be rejected automatically and returned to the original sender.

If your bank account is jointly owned, you may be asked to provide proof of joint-account ownership to verify that you are an authorized sender.

What happens if I forget to include the Reference number?

If you forget to include the Reference number (the code starting with RF in red color), Kriptomat will not be able to match the deposit to your account. Always ensure this number is entered correctly when making your transfer.

How should I fill in the bank and beneficiary addresses?

Make sure you enter both the beneficiary address and the bank’s address correctly. These two addresses are different and are clearly listed in the Payment details provided by Kriptomat. Double-check for accuracy before confirming your transaction.

Can I send a SEPA deposit in a currency other than EUR?

No, at the moment, the only accepted fiat currency at Kriptomat is EUR. Please make sure that your bank deposit is made in EUR only, since deposits in other currencies may not be processed.

What should I do if my bank doesn’t accept special characters like Ö, Ü, or Ä?

You can replace special characters with their standard letter equivalents. For example, use FintechX OU instead of FintechX OÜ. The bank will recognize and accept these substitutions.

Can I make instant, Fast, Urgent, or Tele2 SEPA transfers to my Kriptomat account?

No, only regular SEPA transactions are processed on Kriptomat. If you select Fast, Urgent, or Tele2 options, your transaction may be rejected and returned to you.

Are there any fees for making a SEPA deposit?

Yes, a standard 1 EUR Kriptomat fee will be applied for each SEPA deposit. Your bank may also charge an additional fee, depending on the deposit method available in your country. You can check the fee in your transaction details before confirming your deposit.

How do I add new bank details to my account?

Once your deposit is credited to your account, your bank account will be verified and the details added to your Kriptomat account automatically. Please understand this is the only way to add a bank account to Kriptomat.
