How to buy with a debit/credit card on the Mobile App

Important note: For security reasons, you can buy digital currency with a credit or debit card only if your card supports ‘3D Secure’.

To determine if your card supports 3D Secure, you can contact your credit/debit card provider directly. Some banks will require various security steps to authorize a purchase using 3D Secure (text message, a bank-provided security card, or security questions).

What debit/credit cards are supported on Kriptomat?

We support payments made with both Mastercard and VISA cards.

My transaction shows a status of ‘pending/failed’ in my account. What can I do?

I tried to purchase with my debit/credit card, which failed, and now my account actions are blocked. What should I do?

I entered my credit card details correctly, but the button to confirm the purchase is greyed out. Why?

Below are some reasons why you are unable to confirm a purchase:

  • The Buy action in your account is restricted for security purposes.

  • You have reached your set daily/monthly limit for debit/credit card purchases on Kriptomat.

  • There is a technical issue within the app.
