How to set up Recurring purchases in the Mobile app?

A simple guide about our Recurring Buy feature, what it is, and how to set it up in the Mobile App?

Recurring Buy is our feature introduced at Kriptomat and we've decided to go one step further: why just set up price alerts when you can set up your Kriptomat account to automatically make purchases for you?

It is a fully automated way to buy your favorite cryptocurrencies on your Kriptomat account.

This way you can relax while Kriptomat does all the hard work for you!

Which cryptocurrencies can I buy with the Recurring buy feature?

You can buy all of our available coins and tokens. At the moment, purchases can be made in euros and using your credit card.

Which payment methods can I use?

The payments methods accepted right now are your fiat balance and credit cards.

You can fund your account with fiat currency by placing a SEPA Deposit or you can set the recurring order directly with your Credit/Debit Card.

We suggest that you follow the instructions to learn how you can easily add funds to your Kriptomat account.

You can also use your fiat funds already available on your account to set up your recurring buy. You will also be able to select the amount you wish to buy, it can be anywhere between 15 EUR and 1000 EUR.

What is the buying frequency?

You can buy cryptocurrency with a frequency of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.

After you select the best option for you, you will also be able to set the day of the week, month, and time of purchase.

You can set up as many recurring buy plans as you wish.

NOTE: Before each order is executed you will receive an e-mail notification that the purchase will happen as a reminder.

How can I set up Recurring Buys in the Mobile App?

  1. Login to your Kriptomat account.

  2. Scroll a bit down, and select the "Recurring buy" button.

  3. Select the currency you wish to buy.

  4. Schedule a frequency of your Recurring purchase and press "Confirm".

  5. Enter the amount in EUR, that you would like to purchase with recurring buy.

  6. Click "Preview Transaction".

  7. Confirm the Recurring purchase.

And that is it! You have successfully activated the Recurring purchase!

How can I cancel the recurring purchases?

  1. In-App, click on the "Recurring buy".

  2. Select Recurring buy you would like to cancel.

  3. Click the "Cancel recurring buy" button.

  4. Press "Confirm".

And that is it! In a few clicks, you have canceled your recurring buy! 😊

What happens if my Recurring Purchase with the Card fails?

A recurring buy can fail due to various reasons, either you do not have sufficient balance on your card, or your bank did not authorize this purchase due to various reasons on their side.

Recurring purchase fails for the 1st time:

  • recurring purchase is rescheduled for the next day

  • we will send you an email that the recurring purchase failed and we will retry it the next day

Recurring buy fails for the 2nd time:

  • recurring purchase is rescheduled for the next day

  • we will send you an email that the recurring buy failed and we will retry it the next day

Recurring buy fails for the 3rd time:

  • recurring purchase is canceled

  • we will send you an email that the recurring buy failed for the third time and that the recurring purchase has been canceled

NOTE:

  • The daily limit is 1000 EUR, while the monthly limit is 5000 EUR.
